How to Import Your Stats from Any Platform
Save and upload your stats page from MaxPreps, Hudl, GameChanger, or any other platform
New Process: Instead of requesting files from your coach, you can now directly import stats from any online platform by saving the stats page as an HTML file.
1Find Your Stats Page
- MaxPreps: Go to your school's page, find your sport, then your player profile with season stats
- Hudl: Log into your Hudl account and navigate to your stats/performance section
- GameChanger: Find your team page and player stats for the current season
- School Website: Many schools publish stats on their athletics website
- League/Conference Sites: Check your league's official website for player statistics
2Save the Page as HTML
Once you're on your stats page, follow these steps based on your browser:
Chrome, Edge, Safari:
- Right-click anywhere on the stats page
- Select "Save Page As..." or "Save As..."
- In the file format dropdown, choose "Webpage, Complete" or "Web Page, HTML Only"
- Give it a descriptive name like "MyStats_Basketball_2024.html"
- Click "Save"
Firefox:
- Press Ctrl+S (Windows) or Cmd+S (Mac)
- Choose "Web Page, complete" from the format dropdown
- Name your file and click "Save"
Mobile Devices:
If you're on mobile, it's best to ask someone with a computer to help you save the page, or use a computer at school/library.
3Upload to TrueRecruit
- Go to your Profile → Stats section in TrueRecruit
- Click the "Choose File" button in the stats upload area
- Select the HTML file you saved
- Click "Import Stats"
- Wait for the system to process and extract your statistics
- Review the imported stats to make sure they look correct
4What Our System Extracts
Our intelligent system can recognize and import stats from most platforms, including:
- Basketball: Points, Rebounds, Assists, Field Goal %, 3-Point %, Steals, Blocks
- Football: Passing/Rushing/Receiving Yards, Touchdowns, Tackles, Interceptions
- Baseball/Softball: Batting Average, Home Runs, RBIs, ERA, Strikeouts
- Soccer: Goals, Assists, Shots, Saves (for goalkeepers)
- And many more sports...
The system automatically organizes your stats and adds them to your recruiting profile.
5Tips for Best Results
- Use the main stats page: Save the page that shows your complete season statistics, not just individual game stats
- Make sure your name is visible: The page should clearly show your name associated with the stats
- Include team/school info: Pages with your school/team name help verify authenticity
- Save recent stats: Use the most up-to-date stats page available
- Check the preview: After importing, review all stats to make sure they imported correctly
6Troubleshooting
If stats don't import correctly:
- Try a different page: Some platforms have multiple views - try the main season stats page
- Check file size: Very large HTML files might have issues - try saving just the stats section
- Contact support: Email your HTML file to support@truerecruit.com and we'll help import it manually
Common platforms and tips:
- MaxPreps: Use your individual player page, not the team roster page
- Hudl: The "Season Stats" or "Performance" tab usually works best
- GameChanger: Save the player stats page, not the schedule page
